These are the headbands for the flower girls and a redone version of my hairpiece.
I love the little flower girl headbands. I'm not completely sold on using them though yet—I have to see how well they match the dresses that are being made for the girls.
I had posted a previous hairpiece for me, but I had nixed the feathers so I made a new one that fits the new look. (The old one is for sale if anyone's interested.) =) The jewelry
on the inside—rhinestones—is a vintage earring. The matching earring is on the old hairpiece.
All the little details keep coming together! 1 month and 1 day!
These are the invitations to our wedding that I designed. I'm so happy with how they turned out. Now we just have to finish stuffing those envelopes!
Sometimes I wish I still had the mind of a child. I'm happy with who I am now and I've grown through mistakes I've made—and I'd never give up those experiences because they've made me into the person I am today, but to go back to having the mind of a child....
Children are so beautiful. They look at the world with fresh eyes, they wonder why there is such a thing as "can't", they create with such abandon.
I had the opportunity to help my friend Amy out with a school project by taking some photos of her nephews and niece. When I saw the little girl's My Little Ponies, somewhere a rewind switch turned on in my brain—remembering when I used to play with those beautiful colored unicorns, ponies, and pegasuses. Or in my book, the best kind where the hybrids that were BOTH unicorn AND pegasus.
I'm so thankful that I can work with children on a regular basis. They bring such joy into my life and let me see a new perspective of the world. Take time to celebrate, to cry, to laugh, to dance, to sing, to forgive. We were meant to live. Live your life with abandon.
You only have one shot.

I haven't posted many wedding things on here recently and since I'm getting married in less than 3 months (WOOT!) I'll be stepping that up more. Here's a peek at invitation envelopes and flowers.
