Crowley Wedding Highlights

Ethan and Emily are such a beautiful couple with a beautiful story; their wedding fully reflected that. It's impossible not to notice the love they have for each other. I'm lucky that they picked me to document this day for them.

Elopement

One of my top ten favorite mornings ever. I got to photograph the elopement of my dear friend, Lauren Ridley, to Joshua Runion.

I met her at 6:15 in the morning before the sun had risen but by the time we got downtown, it was getting brighter. At 7:00, the minister and I went to the center of Liberty Bridge. Joshua came from one side and Lauren from the other and met us in the middle. It was easily one of the most beautiful and (extremely) personal marriages I've ever seen. Their love is so beautiful and powerful.

Thank you Lauren and Joshua for letting me be a small part (25% haha) of the best day of your lives. Love you lots.

Just some highlights of the day. I'll be posting more later. Enjoy.

Cheese Bread

I've never done a food post before, but cooking is definitely an art form. Homemade bread is not something I've done before (not counting bread machine+bread mix here) so this was fun. The recipe was actually in a dessert cookbook

so it wasn't difficult and it didn't have to take time to rise or anything like that.
Simple. Easy. Yummy. Here's the recipe if you want to try it. Enjoy!

Savory Cheese Bread

2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano, crushed
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted

In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, onion salt, oregano, dry mustard and cheese. In a separate bowl, combine milk, egg and melted butter; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spread batter in greased 8x4 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes on wire rack. Remove from pan. Makes 16 slices.

Indie Craft Parade

Exciting news —my friend Julia and I have once again been accepted into the Indie Craft Parade at the Huguenot Mill at the Peace Center in downtown Greenville. It's going to be held September 9-11. Friday night is VIP night (tickets go on sale August 1); Saturday and Sunday are free to the public.

If you remember, my 2nd blog post was about the first year at Indie Craft parade. We are thrilled to have this opportunity again.

These are the photos we entered for the jury—they give you an idea of what we're going to be showing—hope to see you there!

Pura Vida {Costa Rica}

Jake and I had the awesome opportunity to travel to Costa Rica on our honeymoon, thanks to his relatives, Richard and Linda, who own a condo there. The whole vacation was better than we could've hoped for.

We went snorkeling, rode a zipline over a canyon and waterfall, tried out the hot springs and mud baths, and rode on a jungle tour down a river where we saw wildlife such as iguanas, monkeys, and crocodiles.

We are just beyond excited about how awesome this trip was. These pictures only capture a bit of what we experienced. Enjoy.

Mixed Prints

One of my biggest honors is being asked to help out with details in another girl's wedding. Yes, my wedding is a week from today, but other people are getting married too. =)

I really enjoyed making this guestbook for my friend, Julie. I loved how she picked mixed prints in the different wedding colors. Beautiful choices for an August wedding.
