Mixed Prints

One of my biggest honors is being asked to help out with details in another girl's wedding. Yes, my wedding is a week from today, but other people are getting married too. =)






I really enjoyed making this guestbook for my friend, Julie. I loved how she picked mixed prints in the different wedding colors. Beautiful choices for an August wedding.

Our Engagement Shoot by GetzCreative Photography

I've been asked many times,
"Who does a photographer choose to take their photos?" My answer? Only the best. I've turned into a photo snob, so why not choose the people who taught me to be one? =)



Last summer I had the awesome opportunity to intern with TJ and Michelle Getz. Now, I work with them as a photo editor. I trust their work above anyone else's, so of course my fiance and I had an easy choice for wedding photographer.


This engagement shoot is one of the most epic that GetzCreative has done in my opinion (yes, I'm sure I'm a bit biased, but still...). Thank you to the GetzCreative team for making this experience so amazing and for creating such beautiful art. You all rock and we are looking forward to the other future shoots with you.

Sipe Wedding Highlights

I am so thankful I had the opportunity to shoot one of my good friend's wedding. Even though we were rained out of our outdoor pre-wedding location, Plan B went perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing the wedding and especially the wedding party. Everyone was photogenic and had fun attitudes. So inspiring. Love you guys.

Hair Decor

These are the headbands for the flower girls and a redone version of my hairpiece.

I love the little flower girl headbands. I'm not completely sold on using them though yet—I have to see how well they match the dresses that are being made for the girls.






I had posted a previous hairpiece for me, but I had nixed the feathers so I made a new one that fits the new look. (The old one is for sale if anyone's interested.) =) The jewelry on the inside—rhinestones—is a vintage earring. The matching earring is on the old hairpiece.

All the little details keep coming together! 1 month and 1 day!

Guestbooks

I created my guestbooks for our wedding in a way that mirrors the different fun elements that we're using in the wedding—pinwheels and birdcages. These books actually took a lot of trial and error since gluing fabric to book-board is a bit difficult without ruining the fabric. I love how they turned out though—all the stitching and the colors and the hint of orange beading.

Oceantastic

The ocean is always so inspiring. It's always changing, always new. My God is the most creative artist ever. Many times artists look to other artists for inspiration—why not look at God's art? And the ocean is one of His best canvases.

While I was at the beach, I also got to do a mini photoshoot of my sister and her boyfriend. And of course, we had the perfect backdrop.
